Five reasons why Jim Cramer is an idiot

curtis — 6 October 2008 - 9:56pm

I hate Jim Cramer. Mostly, because he's a socialist, but also because – no, actually, that's pretty much it.

Here are five articles illustrating why he's dumb.

Jim Cramer throws in the towel – Today, Cramer told investors to get out of the market. Today. After it's tanked 30% in the last year, he tells them to get out today. Not a year ago. Not six months ago. Not in September. Today. My personal opinion is that you should probably do the opposite (okay, maybe not right now, but probably soon).

Still Bullish on RIMM – At the same time as he is telling people to get out of the market, Cramer says that he thinks RIMM is a good buy. Declining fundamentals, tanking fundamentals, this is not a company I'd be looking to buy now.

Jim Cramer's 'Stop Trading!': Bush Changes Tune on Fannie and Freddie – Cramer says that Bush's comments supporting Freddie and Fannie will make the stock go up, up, up!!! Yeah, that worked out well. Guess you can't always bank on state intervention.

Jim Cramer - Mr. Potatohead – In a typical angry rant, Cramer says that the Irish potato famine was caused by free-market capitalism. But apparently he doesn't know history too well, 'cause if he did he'd know that the British shipped all the potatoes to the European mainland instead of feeding their own people. Jim Cramer: Historical Revisionist.

Ron Paul on Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 12-14-07 – In perhaps his most egregious gaffe, Cramer hypocritcally compares himself to Ron Paul, saying that he dislikes the Fed. Uh, then why does he keep calling on the Fed to bail out everyone?
