Jonathon over at My Money Blog has given a straightforward example of how 401(k) loans are not double-taxed. It's an interesting and informative post, especially because it goes against the "conventional wisdom" that people often give with borrowing money from your retirement account.

It's that time of year again, when the guv'mint so graciously and kindly returns the money it pilfered from us throughout the previous calendar year. Here it is, a little more than a month after my wife and I filed our income tax documents, and we just got our refunds. (Okay, so I suppose it's not the government's fault we are procrastinators – no matter how much we vow and swear and oath on New Year's to collect all the necessary documents and have it done and over with by mid-February, we never seem to get it done with more than a week left in the deadline.
